WHAT WE BELIEVE AS UNITED METHODISTS

We believe in salvation in and through Jesus Christ.
We believe that God’s redemptive love is experienced by humans through the activity of the Holy Spirit.
We believe we are part of Christ’s universal church.
We believe that the kingdom of God is both a present and a future reality.
We believe in the authority of Scripture in matters of faith.
We believe in God’s grace, the undeserved, unmerited and loving action of God in human existence offered through the ever-present Holy Spirit.
We believe that heart and hand must be joined in evangelical witness and Christian social action.
We believe that Christian doctrine must be joined to Christian living.
